Talking RL Calipers On 4G/2012 TL SH-AWD

Hello fellow members, this is something I've been wanting to do along with the RDX calibre covers on the rear. Has anyone done this yet or just the RDX caliber covers all around on a 4G TL? On Alexander's thread about the RDX covers I read someone talking about getting a custom brackets made so that the RL calibers can fit the 4G TL can this really be done, if so why has no one did it & who do I talk to about getting the custom brackets made? If I can't get this done in the near future then I'll probably just end up getting a big brake kit.. Please respond/leave comments. Thank u all, Rich..

i dont think this has been done yet but i think it would work with the right custom brackets. you can test it out first

I think you should get the CT-E blower Rob is selling and then letting me drive your vehicle! Alex said he had difficulties getting the brackets to stay on the calipers (RDX/RLX are the same covers), and gave up after 1st attempted.

I'm sure it can be done if you can find a machine shop to fabricate customs brackets.

BE careful of Brake BIAS!
by putting on a different set of calipers meant for a different car; it could severely upset braking bias; resulting in longer stops and less pedal feel.

The TL actually has a shorter stopping distance than the RL. Could be tire, weight, rotor related, but you might be downgrading by going to RL calipers.

The 4G TL has same diameter front rotors but BIGGER diameter rear rotors than the 2G RL, and even the heaviest trim 4G TL is more than 100 lbs lighter than the 2G RL.

4G TL: front = 12.6", rear = 13.2"
2G RL: front = 12.6", rear = 12.2"
