Search for clips with the CTE IceBox installed. This has similar plumbing and will give you an idea of what a resonator delete will do for you. On my TSX, it gave a deeper intake sound. Nothing incredibly noticeable until you open it up

^^ I think the OP might be referring to the exhaust resonator.Popular mod on the 3G side.

Slight rumble at first start up. Once warmed up you really won't notice

After I did the RV6 HFPCs and J Pipe , it was about 2 in the morning and the back of the car was out the garage. Told brother to hit the button and that's what I said. THAT'S IT. I couldn't hear the car in the garage just the motor. Heck I even heard the injectors pulsating. Had to go behind the car to hear it. When first started under fast idle it has a nice mellow rumble so to speak. Once the idle drops it sounds just like stock. I do have factory from J pipe on back. I think the mufflers is what gives the loud sound. I will say there is no drone and sounds like factory inside. Under WOT you might tell the difference but barely

The stock resonators on the TL is fairly long and removing both and running a straight pipe will make it louder than the J Pipe /HFPC combo.

I am running the J Pipe / HFPC combo and an intake. I really like the tone of it,no drone, slightly louder than stock in the car and really nice during acceleration. It's hard to tell what people will like with regards to exhaust sound, all personal preference.

I have heard a couple 3G's that had the resonators removed and on idle it is not very noticeable, however it sounds really good when revved and noticeably louder than stock.Unfortunately,i haven't heard a 4G with this mod.

I had the resonators removed, installed jpipe, with 2 magnaflow mufflers. Sounds nice when you hit the throttle, when you let off its not as loud. Im happy with it so far.
