Performance brake packages from Heeltoe

Hey everyone, I am wondering if anyone has any experience dealing with heeltoeauto and specifically with their brake packages. I have pasted two links below for the packages that I am considering purchasing for my 09 TL SHAWD. I am looking for more stopping power but I want long lasting quality rotors that are made from better materials that will reduce the possibility of warping. The rotors offered from heeltoe (I believe they are from RacingBrake) have great claims, they state they can go through multiple pad changes with no resurfacing, and are guaranteed not to warp (yes I know a bit odd considering it can be driver caused). Please let me know if you guys have any info on these or any other packages that I should consider. The XRL8 kits are nice but I dont mind spending the money on top quality products if they can offer such claims like the heeltoe products. Thanks in advance.

No info on the brake packages, but I have bought from Marcus at Heeltoe, and have always received great service. You can give him a buzz and he will be more than happy to talk to you about your questions... very good guy.

I have Racing Brake brakes on 2 of my cars and soon will have them on all of them! I can attest 100% that the rotors did not need to be resurfaced with 3 sets of pads on the rears and 2 sets on the fronts! I used Acura A-Spec pads which are slightly more aggressive than the factory pads. I would recommend you get upgraded pads. I bought slotted rotors which eat up pads a bit faster, however they do offer improved braking feel and bite. Don't go with cross-drilled rotors, all they do is look good and crack over time.

I recommend the Stage 2 kit for you, best bang for the buck. I'd also recommend getting new rear rotors as well while you are doing the upgrade. I haven't heard many reviews on rear rotors but if I had to do it again, I might not do slotted rear rotors. Pads get chewed up fairly quickly.

If it were a two piece disc in the front then there would be a significant advantage but the STOPTECH components that our kits are made of do exactly what you're asking for and for less money:

"more stopping power but I want long lasting quality rotors that are made from better materials that will reduce the possibility of warping."

Are you recommending upgraded the pads to something besides the ones that come with the kit? I would probably just try out the pads with the kit since they claim to be high performance. That's good to know about the rear rotors, heeltoe mentioned the rear pads wear out at an accelerated rate vs the front pads and supply rear pads that will help with this. I have even seen that with my stock brakes. Currently my fronts have ~40% but the rears are ~20%.

The Racing Brake ET500's that come with the stage 2 should be fine for 90% of aggressive/spirited drivers.

I would suggest slotted only as crossdrilled rotors are simply for looks rather than function for non-track cars. They can be a safety hazard on everyday cars as the rotors tend to develop cracks near the holes if they aren't machined/cast properly.

How about Adams rotors, i just put in a set with stainless steel lines and it is working great so far. On my previous car i had their rotors for over 3 years without any issues. Maybe give them a try as well.

they aren't comparable.
we're a small, fully made-to-order, privately owned & operated company with a 13+ pattern catalog, 3 zinc finishes, and 5 hub coatings to allow YOU the options YOU want.

we urge you to read more about AR, what we do, and how we do it here: what AR is all about/FAQ's
you'll also notice some very helpful/informative frequently asked questions listed too!

Just an update, not going to purchase a kit from Heeltoe. I did not have a good experience with their company. Info on their site was wrong on many aspects such as price, pad options, included items, and shipping. I just found them very unprofessional, when I called in they had no idea what they were offering with these packages. They couldn't even match claims on their site (for example, ships in 1-2 business days, I was told 1-2 weeks it would ship since they need to pick up all the parts from different stores). Kit sounded great I was pretty excited about it, service definitely put up some red flags, I'm sure products are still great, but i'll be going another route.

I see a lot of mixed opinions on Heeltoe on here. Good for you for sticking with your gut feeling.

Your service and communication has been amazing adam. I would have bought rotors from you already but being from Canada I was waiting on a trip that I was taking to the states to pick them up. I got tied up looking into other brake packages, but definitely leaning back towards your product. Will hopefully have a trip planned down to the states in late November/December. Ill be in touch again soon. Thanks.

remember to take in account build time as we're fully made-to-order at 2-3 weeks.

We have seen claims in this thread that other rotors can match the RB Rotors found in HTSPec packages on performance and features but at a lower cost. RB Performance produces rotors with innovative technology and custom features such as heat treatment, reinforced hubs, convergent curved vane design, open slots, and added ventilation around the hub.

They are a small producer with their own molds. You won't find RB rotors rebranded or remade in different colors. They are bespoke performance parts, and about as good as you are going to get for non-track parts with respect to material and manufacturing. One set lasts multiple pad changes without even needing resurfacing.

Unfortunately, dealing with smaller shops such as RB, and even Heeltoe, there can be periods of stacking challenges that are exposed. We are really disappointed to read this message. Although it was a month ago we (I personally) do remember the call and yes I am sure we gave the impression that we were lacking in information on the site. Definitely this leads to reduced confidence in making a large order.

I do recall being extremely apologetic about the fact that our HTSpec brake kits had been revised and updated, although the 4th gen TL kits had not been at the time. I did get through the call as best as I could (I had to think on the fly a bit), and did what I could to update and revise the kits in question immediately after getting off the phone with you. The kits are now online in the newest revised format, and are ready to go.

My understanding was that you might pursue the kit after it had been updated and we were able to provide the details you were looking for. Unfortunately my impression of the call was quite different from yours. This post proves you only have one chance to give a great first impression.

As a vendor, we predate or equal all others here on Acurazine and we have been promotion RB rotors for the majority of that time. We are afraid that development of our new website (releasing this week) has impaired our short term involvement with this community.

We apologize for not living up to our reputation on the forums here. TLTesh604, we would like to extend to you a special offer to help show you your experience was isolated. Please contact me directly to discuss anything else we can do for you, even if it is just a break on a new air filter or spark plugs.
