J pipe nowhere to be found?

Been scrounging around the internet for what seems like forever for a J pipe for my 09 Tl FWD. only finding ones for awd. Everything else out of stock for FWD versions. Is there any solution or and I S.O.L. Heel toe has them back ordered it seems like but the date keeps getting pushed back. Any info would be appreciated

I was in the same boat as you, luckily I was able to find an OBX J pipe made for the FWD model on ebay.
The only issue during install that I found was that in order for it to fit I had to cut a little metal tab, I think its a guard for a sensor, but it didn't hurt anything and the J pipe itself fit very nicely and I definitely felt some performance gains as well.
I've had it for a few months and other than some very slight surface corrosion (def could be cleaned out easily.) it hasn't given me any issues. Paired well with the PCD's I bought later on. Currently getting a custom 3 inch single exit built as well.

Sadly it seems it's currently sold out and with the vendor being so small and our cars not really getting that much support I doubt you'll be able to find a new one. Unless someone posts a used one up for sale or you fab up one from scratch that is.

Sorry!

Just a heads up, ATLP is doing a production run of the FWD J-pipe, I just ordered one.

https://www.heeltoeauto.com/atlp-v2-...es0009v2t.html

Looks like everyone else is out of the game for 4G exhaust components. I'm really tempted to get the ATLP cat back...

Where did you get the PCDs? I cant find them anywhere. The closing thing is PLM high flow 200 cell PCDs but I have heard bad things about the fitment of PLM components. Additionally there is the RV6 HFPCs but i want to leave my car open to supercharging in the future and Gerzybear strongly recommends against HFPCs

Got lucky on ebay and found some from this company called Maximizer, the vendor disappeared soon after I bought em though. They're not as nice looking as the usual competitors but they're very similar in dimensions and I definitely felt a power increase after installing them as well.

I did look again and found some on Walmart of all places lol so if you're interested there's that option.

No issues with fitment but keep in mind I put these on after I already had my j pipe. They technically should still fit stock j pipe but you probably won't get the full benefits. That little plate with the logo did fall off but I expected that since it seems to be only tack welded lol. I've had em for almost a year now and I've taken them off and on multiple times and they always fit right back on.

Just bit the bullet on OBX PCDs from Walmart. They seem to be the "manufacturer" of the maximizer PCDs as well. Going to either pick up a longtube or catted jpipe with it next. (or do you think I should go with a ktuner?)

Its a real shame that RV6 no longer sells these in the U.S or I would 100 percent buy them.

Any check engine light with the o2 simulators on those pcds?

Nice you'll definitely love the difference they make. I think I'd get a J pipe in your position just to have all of that flowing nicely. The K tuner definitely does make a difference as well (I could feel it when switching from stock to basemap back to back) but I think the J pipe + PCD combo is better felt. Def get k tuner in the future tho.
For the check engine light it was very inconsistent, sometimes it wouldn't come on for a month, other times it'd come on immediately, mostly seemed to depend on the way I drove it. So I got fed up with it and just deactivated the catalytic converter codes and the 02 sensor codes using K tuner and I've been light free ever since. And it does still "pass" emissions in Texas meaning the machine doesn't detect anything out of the ordinary even with the codes disabled.

Just got the rv6 j pipes installed and noticed a bit more power. The exhaust note was a bit louder as well. Only negative thing is there is a vibration while idling. I read some past reviews and it seems I may need a spacer installed so the shop will have a look next week. Once I sort this issue out, I will then install the k tuner.

So, I dont have a 4G Tl... But, I did recently install an 4G TL OBX fwd j pipe and pcds on a 8th gen accord v6. With pcds it does vibrate the car a bit. But, other than that seems okay. The j pipe will bolt to stock pre cats and retains the stock 3rd cat (which is what I wanted).

obx j pipe vs 8th gen accord j pipe

On a related note noticed an increase in suction noise from what sounds like the CAI after installing. Any one experience something similar?

Other mods are j37 intake, P2R 12.5mm intake spacer, j37 tb, R tunes 3" CAI, P2R egr block off . Also have k tuner for 'testing purposes'.

Just installed the obx pcds and it was/is the biggest nightmare ive ever experienced.

the pcds were warped at the flanges so i had to spend over 6 hours with an oxy propane torch and an angle grinder just to fot them. On top of that the cheap included gaskets started leaking right away.

Oem Honda gaskets solved 2 of the leaks with the last leak being caused by pinholes in the welds on the o2 sensor housing as far as I can tell.

Gonna take it in to an exhaust shop to see what they can do.

Overall horrible product in my experience

I didnt have any issues with leaks. But, it did take some time to get the studs and nuts just right on the j pipe to pcds. Most important thing is to not fully tighten anything until all the studs and nuts are started.

I had to do the same for my j pipe to fit but the flanges that meet with the heads were 1-2mm off. Literally had to grind away at the center so they would sit semi flush. One corner had to be heated and bent

Interesting. Mine came in a kit with pcds and j pipe. But, I did see them separate for more.

What was the part number? Does the plate say obx?

Dang sucks to hear, mine fit up pretty good and I didn't really have any issues with gaskets either, guess they're not very consistent across products
