Came home to a little surprise
When I arrived home from work today I saw these sitting at my front doorI have ATLP non-resonated exhaust and v2 j-pipe on the way. Should be here Wednesday. I'm going to wait until my exhaust and pipe get here and have it all installed at once.
Thought I would share this before heading out for the gym.
Hope all is well with everyone!

Yea man VERY expensive. I plan on keeping my ride for a long time so I want to ensure that I put good quality stuff on my TL.
I just made an appointment to have it all put on next Tuesday. All I need now is for Hondata/Flashpro to develope a tune for CT so they can release that SC!
I really hope they can come through.

Today the non-resonated ATLP exhaust, V-2 J-pipe and XLR8 BBK was installed. It all looks truly amazing and really gave my car an extremely aggressive look. I succeeded in achieving the look that I wanted for my car.
My initial thoughts of the exhaust were, “This is too nice of a car to have an exhaust this loud.” The exhaust sounds really good, no doubt about that but the cabin noise is bit too much for my liking. It’s really deep in low RPMs, (this where I hear the droning) but while on the highway it sounds just right. I noticed that the car shifts a little different and seemed a bit sluggish down low. However it seemed to have more power towards the top of each gear. I know that the V2 J-Pipe deleted the third cat and the car is breathing differently so I take that into consideration. For now I will keep the exhaust and see if I get used to it. The only reason I purchased an exhaust system was to prepare my car for the CT-Supercharger. If I didn’t plan on supercharging my car I wouldn’thave purchased the exhaust. Psuedo’s advice for performance mods made a lot of sense to me which was always lead with exhaust hence my purchase of the J-Pipeand ATLP exhaust. Other than the cabin droning noise I am happy with the exhaust. It looks great and sounds amazing.
As for the XLR8 BBK I will have to post at a later date about my opinion of this brake package due to the bedding procedure of the brake pads and rotors. To properly break the brakes in you have to complete cycles of decelerations. For example in the instructions it advises to accelerate up to 60 mph then apply breaks slowing down to 5-10mph but do not come to a complete stop as this may create impressions in the rotors from the brake pads due to the heat of the pads. It mentions to complete this 10 times which equals one cycle. Then after a cooling off period (driving allowing air to circulate through the break system) complete 4 decelerations to 5-10mph without coming to a dead stop from 80mph. Two to three cycles of this procedure must be completed in order get the brakes to operate at its full potential. I’ve only completed one cycle and can already feel an improvement in stopping power. Is it better than stock? Yes, but it is hard to tell if it is worth the money at this point as I haven’t put that many miles on them and haven’t completed all of the bedding cycles yet.
Overall, if you like a quiet cabin but want an exhaust system be prepared to spend some money on a resonator and some dynamat (I believe it’s called) been reading around to see how people have addressed the droning sound and that seems like the most common/successful approach. I’ve also read that after installing the resonator the exhaust was too quiet. You just have to realize going into this that the exhaust is going to be louder than stock and the cabin will not be as quiet. I think that is a HUGE shock (I know it was for me) because when you think of exhaust you think how it will sound on the outside of the car and not what it will sound like from the inside.
Here are some pictures below after the install. Overall I think I will keep this setup as long as the supercharger will be released. Without it I don’t see the need for these mods. I believe the SC will pull everything together for areally nice package.

That will be it for me on the performance mods for this car. I thought about purchasing an Ice Box intake from CT in the meantime. With my luck as soon as I do that the supercharger will come out lol.
My car is just about done. Only things left to do are to get LED bulbs for the tag light and possibly run 6000k HID headlights and foglights and LED daytime running lights. I still have more research to do on the DRLs with the LEDs ruining the headlight lenses. Some have issues and some do not. Will be giving JNC or AckTL a call to find out they're thoughts on this mod. Oh, I plan on getting the headlight / brakelight housing painted black.
Everything else from here is pretty much for looks.

On my next ride I will just break down and drop some big bucks on what I really want, however until then this will do. Taking a break from car notes for a bit.

Iwent to my local exhaust guy and added 2 resonators to my atlp non res system, it toned it down about 50-60% In the cabin and drone is toned down noticibly.
But when you get on the gas it still turns heads, highly recommended if you want to tone it down a bit.

Thanks for your input Sdelia. I will definitely consider that in my solutions for the droning.
Right now I'm am really leaning upon installing dynamats and putting dynapads on top of the dynamats in the trunk and in the back seats. I got this idea from AZ member AcuraTL. I only want to quiet the cabin but keep the outside tone the way it is now.
Do you know if the resonators obstruct or hinder the airflow of the exhaust system or J-pipe at all?

I completed another cycle of bedding the rotors and pads today.
The brakes are biting pretty damn good. They feel great. I can feel the durability in them when braking. I find myself stopping way before I intended to when approaching red lights and stop signs. And the crazy thing is they will only get better from here with the more I drive it.
I took a ride down to the beach and while stopped in traffic I noticed several people looking at my wheels. The funny thing is that I couldn't determine if they were looking at the wheels or at the brake kit. Nonetheless it's catching attention which is awesome, but most importantly it is performing good.
Win-Win, they look awesome and perform great.

how do you think the car performs with the new exhuast and jpipe? aside from the increased noise, do you think it's actually any faster?
your car looks really good. first off, I love WDP... great color.
the wheels/body kit/drop look excellent...

The car isn't that much faster in my opinion. I can't really tell a difference down low; however in higher gears it really climbs faster than it did versus when it was stock.
I'm really happy with it though the package isn't complete.
