Cool ATLP Catback Anyone?

Hi All,
Anyone in the DC metro area got the ATLP quad exhaust installed on their 4G TL? I am looking in to installing it on my 4G 3.7l, but would like to hear the exhaust note/noise/sound/growl in person. I know there are a few youtube videos that were posted by the ATLP users, but none of them tells you anything about the cabin noise.

Thank you all in advance.

if you get a resonated one, you wont have much cabin noise during cruising speeds..

i have one.. on a 3.5L though but it it should be the same.

ATLP does not come resonated for AWD but it is an option for FWD (at least on heeltoes site). Only XLR8 for AWD, unless you add a resonator to the ATLP. It does have drone but not bad under light throttle. Full throttle it sounds bad ass. I have it on my 3.7 with xlr8 v2 jpipe and love it. If you don't like it loud, I don't recommend getting exhaust. Just stick with the jpipe mod. My $.02.

Thanks for the input guys.

Yeah, that is the issue right now, there is no resonator available with the AWD setup. I talked to the rep at heeltoes and they told me that they are working on it and there will be one in the "near future". I havent heard anything back from them since.

As for the exhaust note, I definitely like it in the videos. Actually, I prefer the ATLP exhaust note over the XLR8 one. Its subtle yet grunty. But I dont want the car to get loud inside under light throttle. But I dont really know how much drone you get inside without the resonator. I might be alright with it without the resonator. That is why I am trying to reach out to any ATLP users within the DC Metro area and see if they wont mind giving me a demo.

I suggest you not to buy the current ATLP exhaust for 4G AWD from Heeltoe.
It created a lot cabin noise from 1.5 to 3.5 rpm during cruising local or on freeway . I had it on my car, and it was so terrible, and I decided to get rid of it and put back stock exhaust.

Lol like I said. Exhaust is not for everyone. I have it and love it but I've had exhaust on all my cars. This has more drone then my others but I'm use to it and love the exotic tone. $1600 on exhaust just to remove it is a waste of money.

^ what carbon said.

the drone does get a little to get used to. if my wife and 6 yo can sleep in the backseat then it's not too bad. the pop from the exhaust when downshifting is already enough to make me keep them.

As others here have mentioned, the ATLP and our XLR8 are performance oriented systems, so you'll get some cabin noise no matter what. Our exhausts feature resonators which helps keep drone and noise down but they're certainly not perfect.

If you're really worried about in cabin noise, I'd recommend starting with the J-Pipe.
