aftermarket exhast suggestion

Hi,
I am thinking about to modify the exhaust of my 2012 FWD TL. But the stock rectangle exhaust looks ok. However, I want more aggressive looking like four outlets exhaust.
I do not want too annoying sound when idle or gentle driving around. But louder when ignition and harder acceleration.
another concern is that I do not want any performance enhancement because I do not want to get more fuel consumption than stock.
If I can keep the muffler and just modify the exhaust outlet?
If anyone has any recommendation, thank you.

An aftermarket catback exhaust won't negatively impact your fuel economy assuming you drive it exactly the same as with the stock exhaust. Most people get a louder exhaust and get a little heavier on the gas pedal which is understandable.

Check out our XLR8 catback exhaust! It features full stainless steel piping, quad 3" tips and is TIG welded and mandrel bent. It's a very high quality system that sounds awesome.

The replacement system on my Audi S4 actually improved the MPG overall.

ATLP is supposed to be making mufflers and their quad tip as a weld on option. Not sure when but you could send them an inquiry.

I agree with CruzanTLSH-AWDon this one. Magnaflows aren't that loud compared to all others and with the eBay dual tips probably be your best bet. If anything hit up any members here or do a lil bit of research on it. Good luck with your exhaust mod

+1 on the Magnaflow mufflers. I have them and absolutely love the tame yet aftermarket sound.

You could combine those with aftermarket tips or even OEM tips (click here for some available in the black market). Of course you could skip the mufflers altogether and just replace your tips as you hinted to in your opening post.

They're expensive though. For just a couple hundred more dollars, you could get the full cat-back from XLR8 or EndlessRPM.
