Brembo 330:
CLEARANCES FOR BIG BRAKE KIT
A = 41mm B = 110mm C = 192mm
· After looking at my car I am concerned that if these measurements are comparable to what we will get 19” A-spec wheels may not provide enough clearance.
If we use a 355mm, there is no way it will fit

After searching I found an option that would work for both. Enkie GTC01 19x8.5. (450ea) However, if that is the case, this is a budget buster for me right now as I'm getting new wheels for the RDX and tires for both cars at the end of September.

Any thoughts on this Excelerate?

1995NUR415120G76 19x9.5 5x120 41 MATTE GUNMETAL
edit: Looking at the Nurbergring in their pic, the spokes look really thin and far out on the wheel. If they haven't photchopped it, they probably would work.

The lug pattern is probably not supported. The bigger issue for me is having to buy them in the first place. I'm already spending $3,200 cash in September. I could charge another $3,500-4,000 in brakes, but there's no room for another $1,600 in wheels. I need a little wiggle room in case I have to buy a new furnace or something this winter. (Besides the trip to Maui that wife needs so I have an excuse to blow money on something I need)

I know for sure that the lug pattern is supported.... then again I knew for sure they cam in 20" lol.
I hear you on the cost side. Im waiting for my promotion to satisfy the cost issue..... well I got the promotion just not the pay lol.

We could hope for a Brembo. This thread has been in Limbo as we are at least 1 short of the number needed for a template. I second your, ANYONE?

I remeber i called Brembo a few months back to see if they were interested in making a BBK for the 09+ Tl. They told me that in order to start development they needed at least six or eight people who were interested in buying one. Im not sure if this is still possible or not but maybe someone should give it a go.

Well I would need to know first, will it fit under 18" stock wheels? Howabout the 19" HPT wheel option? Also how will this setup effect brake bias? I know sometimes it throws all out of whack when you add huge stopping power up front. I used to run Spoon calipers on my old civic and man were they awesome, but they were designed for the setup I had at the time.

Brembo makes great quality products but I can tell you now it will be $1,000 over the STOPTECH BBK. We've got a good working relationship with STOPTECH and we think it will be the best solution.
We'd have to build the kit first to see if it will fit. If anyone has dimensions of the stock wheel (specifically measurements of offset, back spacing, wheel spoke distances from the hub, etc) that would be great.

The Stoptech price is certainly more desirable.

I would think a 43 year old would act a little more mature but apparently not. I've left it in the hands of STOPTECH and Acura owners. We need 10 people for the STOPTECH BBK to be produced. So I need to see a list that size before I go any further with this project; we've already spent some time with STOPTECH on this project. So, instead of complaining and acting like an e-thug, help spread the word or put up some funds so I can see you're serious.

Why upgrade the brakes? You offered to help us on this issue that WE brought up. bar, just as all the previous generation TL's have. It will reduce body roll and help prevent the vehicle from plowing into the curb.
And, lastly, if all your comments in my threads are going to be negative comments and irrelevant requests, then stay out of my threads. There's plenty of people who are willing to volunteer and enjoy a larger RSB.

Honestly I regret the angry posts I have directed at you. It seems that you genuinely DO offer great products and really try to give us an affordable alternative to Acura’s extremely limited upgrades and dealer performance options. However, you have dropped the ball on the BBK and we are only 1 person short of your request. Please reconsider our BBK needs.
Thanks,
Marco

^^ Don't really understand how anyone dropped the ball. We should be lucky we have people who are willing to take risks in this economy to offer mods for our cars.
I would bet that Excelerate needs those 8 or 10 people because of the costs that are associated with building a product like that. Development is expensive, and no one is going to make a product if people arn't going to buy it.
While I would love to put my name on the list, I'm not sure if they would clear my RJ Legend Type II's, so I would have to see a finished product with measurements before I could make that kind of financial decision. I'm guessing others are in the same boat.

I'm gonna withdraw my name from this list as 2500 is a bit much right now and I can't really make that kind of commitment right now.

I'm not sure why you are so upset...we have a company that is building parts for our cars, and working with other companies to develop new parts.

True, XLR8 is not developing or building this product, but they will be the ones that get the company to develop and build it. Unless of course you think that you can get Brembo to develop a Big Brake Kit for the 4th Gen TL by calling them as one customer--XLR8 works with us to get a listing of people to show the companies that the part will sell if they develop it.

Did you read what I wrote? 4 posts ago, "It seems that you genuinely DO offer great products and really try to give us an affordable alternative to Acura’s extremely limited upgrades and dealer performance options." Put your money where your mouth is and add your name to the list! Macro

Yep, It appears that I have pissed off the all mighty powerful XLR8. My apologies to those on the want/need list. Lockwood will not respond to my PM.

Ok, so to make this BBK come closer to reality and production I am going to need 8 purchasers. We will also need a test-fitter in the So Cal so that we can produce the kit. Based on our experience and speaking with STOPTECH I'm thinking a 4-piston 355mm disc will be the best setup.
There will be a choice of red, black or silver calipers; drilled rotors will be $100 extra and zinc coating will be $70 extra. Anyone who purchases on the initial run will get the kit for $2195 shipped to the cont 48 US for the standard color/slotted rotor combination.
So those of you on the list who are ready to pull the trigger please re-confirm your name. We are moving closer to the R&D phase and I need to get figures to determine if this kit will be possible.

Yes 50% up front and 50% when the kits go intro production.
Perfect, please send me your email and phone # to sales@excelerateperformance.com so I can set you up with STOPTECH.
