2010 TL base.

New to the forum, do not know much about our cars but willing to learn. I have 2010 TL base, love the car. I am looking into few basic bolt on mods to enhance sound of the car. Also would like to add a rear lip( since mine did not come with it) and some minor exterior stuff. Please let me know where I should start. Thank you.

if you're just looking for sound, you can take it to an exhaust/muffler shop.

ask them to replace the mid-muffler with straight pipe.

shouldnt be more than 60 dollars to do so.

if you want a little more growl, do the above and remove the stock resonator and replace it with a magnaflow resonator.
an exhaust shop will have to do this as well.

if you do them at the same time, it will be cheaper on labor.

Not a bad idea, but, that seems like a really cheap way out and what are the gains over lets say just getting a J-pipe and maybe a good set of mufflers?

I had a modded golf gti 1.8T before this car so I am not new to modding but am new to this car. I understand that it is an elegant car and I love it but I need few mods to make it a tad better and maybe slightly quicker.

That will be a good thing to do.

here's my thread
https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-295/dynomax-resonator-replacement-mid-muffler-delete-913112/

I ended up replacing my mid muffler with a straight pipe.
I got a J pipe and replaced my stock resonator with dynomax resonator.
I haven't make a video of the new setup with the Magnaflow mufflers on.

well look at you!!!

i only suggested those cheap parts because you wanted sound.
if all you want is sound, this is the way to go.

if you want add minimal hp gains, go for the jpipe set up!
