Are you using POI from the database?
Are you using POI from the database?
I found the POI on my 2011 database is pretty useless. Everytime I'm trying to find a place (place name or cat), it is almsot mission impossible.
For example, I'm trying to find "Pier 1 Imports", this can be named under Pier1, Pier 1, Pier 1 Imports, and etc all sorts of different naming and I have to go into different categories to find. Worst of all, there are actually 3 in my area and none of them shows up... I'm pretty sure those shops are there for years.
I would say whoever organizing the POI database is pretty incompetent. My 5 year old Garmin does a better job than this.
Do you have the same experience and frustration?

You've got to dig into the Navigation System a little deeper.
First, hit the Menu button on your center console. Then, on the touchscreen, hit Destinations, then go to Categories. That's where you can break it down by Restaurants, Shopping, etc.
You'll have better luck that way.
