what is done in this case, just got new car, xm was updated few months back, i get 3 months free with new car...so when should i call xm, and what do i tell them...btw, i really like the weather radar, that is cool....

Used to be harder in the past, but now just call them up and transfer your account form the old car to the new car. What tends to happen though is sometimes the free 3 months of weather and traffic get turned off our pushed to the end of your current subscription , also if you had a logon to their website that tends to get messed up as well. The reason it gets messed up is the dealer regsitered you already witht he new car so essentially you are closing your old account and transferring it to the new one. I have done this 5 or 6 times now and each tme it gets easier, but they still mess soemthing up and their customer service is pretty bad, ranks up their with Dish Network for some of the worst customer service around.

For me they just canceled my old contract leaving the balance of the $77/year on the account. They said that once the free 3 months runs out that they can move that into my new account. We will see what happens....

cool, thanks...i will try and give them a call tonight...i have been getting the 77 deal since i got my 07, so i look forward to keeping that...

what about the weather, anyone getting a good deal on that...i really like that weather radar...pretty sweet!!
