XM Radio - What to do?

I'm sure some of you have experienced this problem. I traded in my 08 TL with XM service for a new 2012 with the 3 free months.

Now I would cancel my service on my 08 TL, but I don't want to lose my internet streaming (iPhone app too) if I cancel.

But still I want the free 3 months!

Any suggestions?

Laidback, I don't think XM allows you to transfer your subscription from one car/radio to another. So yes, you will need to cancel your current subscription on your 3G TL and re-subscribe after your free 3 months on your 4G TL.

when we bought our '11 hyundai the salesman asked if we wanted to transfer the xm service over to that car. He knew someone that worked for xm and said it could be done. He did it for other customers. We did not want it as we had sirius.

OP, what do you mean by "internet streaming." Blue tooth streaming through your i-phone has nothing to do with XM radio.
I'm proof that you can live without XM and still enjoy your car audio experience. The sound quality via XM is poor and the weather and traffic info are too slow. (Don't even get me started on the poor customer service) XM is a waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

I agree that in certain areas the xm reception is poor but then so is the fm/am radio. I have xm mainly because I do traveling that takes me to different states. It comes in handy then-do not have traffic/weather.
