Is having XM radio subscription the only way to receive weather and traffic updates on an 09 Acura TL navigation screen?WTF! I think it's BS that you have to subscribe for XM when I don't want to subscribe to XM just for that feature!!! Standalone navi's out now give you traffic and weather for free! Can I use my phone or anyone have a hack? Thx!

 

I use Google Maps traffic on my Blackberry. Be nice if the map could interface with the nav. In Canadian TLs you can't even get traffic with XM which really sucks.

 

Swerve, yep, it's a paid service. If you want it on your Nav screen, I think that's it.

 

That system was slow anyhow, you're not missing much.
Sick of companies like xm/sirius guaging everyone. We disconnected the 3 separate accounts we had (they would not consolidate them) but they still call my wife every week with offers.
I hear that Verizon employees are on strike, maybe I'll discontinue my data plan, toss my BlackBerry and get a Jitter Bug phone.
