Tweeter Filter Locations

I'm sure it will become obvious once I tear into things, but can someone tell me where the high-pass filters are located for the factory tweeters? Are they secured to the tweeters themselves or somewhere else (e.g. inside doors)? I want to use the factory wiring for my new system and want to be sure I remove the factory filters because my new components have their own cross-overs (Kicker KS series).

Also, does the center channel speaker have a passive high-pass filter in-line with it or is the filtering internal to the head unit?

I did some poking around and located an image of the harness connector (C409) that joins the door speakers and the tweeters (behind glove box). So filters are located somewhere between the glove box and the tweeters. It would make sense that they are attached to the tweeters themselves, or within a couple inches.

on the 3G TL the filter is just a capacitor/highpass circuit on the tweeter itself

I'm willing to bet that's likely where they are on the 4th gen as well. Reason I even questioned it is I seem to recall someone on this site saying inside the door, which doesn't make much sense.
