Traffic and weather update subscription?

I'm new to the forum and just purchased 2011 SH-AWD, it's black with umber interior. The question I have about the thread title, is can you get a subscription to those features only? Or do you have to have the xm radio service as well? My car is a CPO with 3 months of free XM, but the traffic and weather was not included and I was told it's not included on any used Acura.

I just got off the phone with XM and it's a dealer option to add the trial, and one my dealer didn't approve. And you have to have the radio subscription to get the traffic and weather.

I bought a new 2013 TL. When the free trial ran out I just subscribed to the traffic option, not the XM or weather. Unless there's something weird about a used car you should be able to get it a la carte.

Yep as mentioned it's $3.99 a month for just traffic without Radio or weather.
I would recommend checking with you state DOT's traffic website to see how accurate and how capable their traffic density calculations and logs are before subscribing, since this XM service is based on their reporting.
