After 7 months the right front door speaker is blown. Of course the dealer will replace it. I noticed on one of the Acura dealers parts sites that the tweeters, center channel and subwoofer are Pioneer speakers. However the 6-1/2" door speakers and rear deck speakers don't list a brand. Interesting. Perhaps that's why we are having so much trouble with the door speakers going out?

I'm thinking of upgrading the 6-1/2" speakers (non-Tech package). Does anyone know if we have to remove the door panels to get at the speakers? And where do we access the rear shelf speakers? Through the top or in the trunk. Thanks in advance.

 

you usually have to remove the door panels to unscrew the speakers

 

yeah there i have a 2009 SH-AWD and i upgraded all the speakers on my car i put beyma and the bass in the back i also upgrade to JL 8 inch and wow you guys really need to listen to my music is so so so hot i only spend 700 dollars and i got hook up good

 

what model jl did you insall? did you have to do any mods to it? how did you get at it? from inside the trunk? thanks.

 

what amp are you using? to power the speakers and woofer? for 700
