SHUFFLE on USB stick

SHUFFLE on USB stick
Hi everyone,
I have an anooying issue to report about 2012 TL (Tech Package) and curious if anyone has noticed this, or have any advice to rectify the annoyance.
I have a USB stick that I play back most of my MP3 but when I put it on shuffle, I notice that the "random" mode is not that random afterall. I often find myself hearing the same songs over and over and quite often, in the exact same order. I have an MP3 payer at home (a sony device) and I never have experienced that problem but with the Acura, its VERY noticeable. What I will do is hit the shuffle button again but doesn't really work all that well as I get stuck in an another "familiar" music rotation.
The other annoyance is this....why is it that when you have the "random" mode for the play back that manually selecting ONE song then throws the system off his "random" mode? Again, my MP3 player at home doesn't do this. Am I doing anything wrong? I know that some would say, why not take your MP3 in the car but the problem as it will lose its charge as its not an IPOD where it will recharge as its plugged into the USB port.
Thanks in advance...
