Resetting Homelink

Hope someone can help me out. Tried to pair my TL with me garage opener without resetting it first, now I can't pair it or reset it. When I try to reset the homelink by pushing the two outside buttons, the red light never comes on(thus not resetting). Anyone ever see this?

I assume you have properly done the instructions as per this video?

About 1.30s into the video.

I never had any issues....let us know if this also failed.

So I have tried, but when I do the steps around 1.42 in the video to reset the Homelink, it doesn't light up the Homelink LED. If I click any of the buttons by themselves, the light doesn't come on either. The only thing of note is I tried to pair my garage door opener with the Homelink BEFORE I tried to reset the codes. Now pushing any button or combination of buttons do nothing and no light.

The light did come on when I tried to pair the garage opener with the Homelink at first, but since then no light.

^^ That is puzzling that NO lights are coming on at all...not blinking fast, or steady, or nothing? On none of the buttons?

Few questions:

1. Is your car in the "on" position and not just the accessory position?
2. Is your garage opener a new one with a rolling code? You will need to press the "learn" button on the garage opener prior to trying to use the homelink
3. Any chance you have a blown fuse?

If all these fail, you may need to take a trip to the dealer and see if they can do a reset for you....maybe reprogram it or something. I assume your TL is under warranty

I don't believe the key should need to be in the car at all. I agree with checking the fuses.

Your car is pretty new you said right? Just take it by the dealer and see if they can help you out. If not..is it under warranty?

Yeah just got the car on Saturday. Took it in for the tint today so I told them to check out the homelink. Hopefully they can get it squared.
