Replacing Door Speaker TL Tech ELS system 2way or component

I plan on replacing the front door speakers and I will leave the factory tweeter in place in the A pillars. Should I put Infinity 6032CF 2 way speakers or the mid range woofers from 6030 component speaker set (I will not be doing anything with the included tweeters).

I thought about doing Kappa's but I am worried they might need mods to fit. Has anyone installed Kappa's in their door?

I listened to the 6032s side-by-side against JBL GX602s... Thought the latter sounded way better, more full sound, better bass for sure. Then found them at BB for $49.99 for the pair and it was an easy decision.

The GX602s are also 2-way, and require no mods to install in the front doors. They are also far heavier than the ELS speakers that they replaced, FWIW.

I left the factory tweeters alone too... Extremely pleased with the results... Car sounds better than ever... May put the GX602s in the rear deck next even though the OEMs haven't blown there (yet)!

Sorry for the rookie question, I normally don't modify my car audio, especially when it sounds like the ELS in my 13' TL. Sometimes I wish it had a little more oomph though.
Are you guys saying that you can replace the speakers in the doors with the JBL GX602's without any type of modification, just pull the old speakers out and put these in?
Is the volume comparable with the other speakers using the stock amp?
Also, is the sound that much better?

Thanks for any info.

Yes on all... The GX602s are rated at 2.3 ohms and the stock are 2. No noticeable diff in volume levels, but the JBLs sound far better than stock IMHO. The stock ELS sounds great until speakers start blowing... Common problem you'll read on here. Fact is that the quality of most of the replacements folks are trying is just higher than the stock speakers. You can get Acura to replace speakers while under warranty (I did twice before), but won't spend my own money buying more of the stock speakers for sure!

My drivers side Rear door speaker is blown and out of warranty. Does anyone know a good replacement? I assume the rear door speakers are different than the fronts? Should I replace both rears at the same time? Thanks.

They are 4-inch speakers... Harder to find but avail on Amazon... Be sure you get 2-ohm ones. My same speaker blew a couple years ago and dealer fixed it for free. Good luck and let us know what you end up with (and unless you do the dealer/ELS-same speaker swap, you'll need and have to get a pair and replace both).

tm86it - Thanks for the information. I may just get the OEM and replace the one. Will update when I get it done.

Does anyone have instructions on how to properly remove the rear door panel? Thanks.
