Remaining XM term

Remaining XM term
When I bought my TL, the previous owner told me he didn't have satellite, as he didn't like XM (said Sirius receivers were better). So I was a bit surprised when I discovered that I am receiving XM. Now I'm wondering if he purchased a lifetime subscription, and then just forgot about it.
Is there a way on the unit to determine remaining term? I know that tuning to 0 gives you the radio code...is there some "station" or other place to look to determine when the subscription term ends?

Yeah...I didn't want to call them; that's why I wondered if it could be checked on the system. I'll just play it by ear (pun intended).

So I assumed that since I was getting XM notwithstanding that the previous owner claimed he let the subscription lapse, that perhaps the guy had paid for a lifetime subscription. But i showed the car to a friend the other day, and he asked if perhaps the guy was still paying because XM auto renews and bills your credit card, without sending an invoice or account statement. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, I should be calling this guy and letting him know that he might still be paying for my XM.
