Rear Deck Rattle

2010 w/ tech stock system
Alright, so I've got a gnarly rear shelf rattle while listening to electronic music starting at about volume 6 until I get it high enough where the music just drowns it out. I checked for rear shelf sub mounts for cracks, (TSB B13-007) and there is a very slight one in the front drive side bolt hole but that is not where the rattle is coming from.

I bought some generic dynamat and I admittedly don't know what I'm doing with it so I watched a video and mostly used it in places I thought there might be two surfaces vibrating together. Please take a look at my attached pics. If I push down on top or up in the trunk where my hand is in the two pictures, it completely dampens the rattle. Has anyone else experienced this and solved it? Or does anyone have any advice on what I should try next?

Another note, I also did TSB B11-024 which stopped some creaking which I only noticed recently while driving with the back seat off, so I'm sure its not that. That particular issue was creaking between the rear shelf and body.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks.

I'm experiencing a rattle myself. It sucks and I don't want to blast music to make it any worse. There's another thread and some ideas on how to fix it there. I haven't taken the lining off in my trunk to see what exactly the issue is. Good luck!

Alright just some information for you guys if you experience something similar and want to see my ghetto fix. It didn't need to be pretty, just functional since no one will ever see it with the exception of you guys

I used a ton more of the dynomat + foam tape and bought a 1.5" wide 1/8" thick piece of rolled steel and reinforced the flimsy metal. It could be done much better if I planned it out more and put some more effort in. I really don't understand why they used such wimpy metal in an area that would be shook so much by bass. Anyway, here it is. It looks completely normal once everything is put back together.

One other note, I also had a taillight rattling like none other which I removed while the liner was off and just stuck some foam tape in. The downside to having the rear end rattles fixed is now I can hear rattles in my drive and passenger side door locks. That is the next project I guess.

I had the same issue thankfully while the car was still under warranty it took the acura dealer 3 times to get it right. The last time they sent it out to a body shop and they welded a bunch of parts on the deck to make sure the rattle never came back.

I constantly blast bass music all the time dubstep, drum n bass etc. haven't had any rattling since and that was about 3 years ago.
