I have an 09 TL without the technology package. When I press a preset button on the center console the radio dies, and will not turn back on until I turn off the car and let it sit for a while. I have no problem changing station from the steering wheel.

Could this be a bad fuse? Any ideas?

I'm having this issue, along with other radio-related problems, on my 2012 TL. Half of the time pushing a button will power down the radio, other times the buttons don't work at all. Other times the display screen just remains blank while music plays. Steering wheel controls work just fine.

Acura service department here claims they escalated the issue to "Acura Engineering" and they want to replace the display unit to see if that resolves the issue. (???)

So in another two weeks time I'm sure I'll be taking it back as I'm positive it's not the display.

As an update, the screen replacement seems to have worked somehow. Hopefully that took care of it.

So the dealership only replaced the screen, and not the complete head unit ?

 

Yep, I'm not sure how it was tied to the problem but that's all they replaced.
