What is this feature for?

The manual says it will record XM song for about 10seconds. If it records the whole song then I can see its usefulness, but with 10 seconds then what can we do with it?

Is there anything I missed?

 

You can't record entire songs for copyright reasons. The note feature is intended for the scenario where you hear some cool song on the radio that you may want to buy but you're unsure what it's called. You can "note" it and the song name and a small preview will be saved for later use.

 

You mean the TL doesn't have Napster in it???? How could Acura do that!!! Shame Shame Shame on you Acura! You got the bucks for a lawsuit! Pay it but make us happy at the same time!

 

While listening to XM, you hold down the XM button for a few seconds, and it will save a 10 sec snippet of that song along with title and group name. A very cool feature actually which made me think about making it longer. We have the HDD, why not record a show on XM then download it to a USB stick. C'mon Acura, make use of your tools! Now that would be really innovative!

Driving home from Vegas yesterday, we listened to a 2hr Alan Parson's Project live concert from BB Kings in NY. It would of been great to capture that and then download it to a USB stick.
