I am a brand new owner of a 2012 TL. When I enter the destination (DC to Indiana) it calculates the distance as 722 miles in route 1, but when I select route 1 the distance shown is only 564 miles, but with the same drive time. I tried the distance from DC to Atlantic City and it did the same thing......calculation showed 212 miles but the map screen showed 142 miles with the same drive time. In each case I am using Freeways and max on the routing method. Is this normal? Is the system calculating waypoints that I did not enter? Should all of the screens reflect the same distance. the nav sucks... use your phone, it is sure to be better.
