Has anyone been able to download this? It went live a few days back (only a month or so late), but I've tried downloading it from two different computers, and no-go. Anyone else have any luck?

 

I got this message (clipped) when I tried this morning:

There was an error processing your download.

We appreciate your business - please check back soon or call our contact center at the number listed below for assistance with your download during regular business hours.

 

No point... These grace note updates all suck and have nothing on them.

 

They may have taken it down as there is a new update coming out next month.

 

This is the the email I received from them a couple days back:

We are in the process of trying to the resolve the problem with the link on the Gracenote website. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you need additional assistance, please send us your feedback by replying to this email.

I considered, in light of the last sentence of their response, sending back a "you suck", but thought better of it.

And if they actually release another update next month, I'll send you a quarter.

 

Haha! We shall see if they actually do!

 

So after waiting a few weeks following their "we're working on it" email, I contacted them again and suggested that most 14 year olds with some computer skills could have gotten the link working, and that they should just come clean and admit it's not a priority for them.

Seems to have shaken something loose, as the link is working now. I've downloaded, but haven't installed.

I'm curious how this is integrated into the radio system? What's the procedure?

I downloaded the latest Grace Note that just became available. I was actually able to update several cd's that I recently added.

 

Wonders never cease. I very nearly owed you that quarter. Update came out only a few days late.

It came out in July!

 

Pretty sure I checked on Thursday, and it wasn't live. Noticed it was live today. Maybe I'm wrong. I mean, if it's about the quarter, I guess, shoot me your address and I'll mail you one.

But it's a Canadian quarter, so don't get too excited.

 

Haha! Not about the quarter at all. We may have just had access to it sooner in the States. At least it did come out though...
