JL 8" Powered Sub

Anyone have one of these in their TL:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016E2...A0L&ref=plSrch

I'm looking for a sub to replace the (insignificant) factory one, but don't want anything that's going to drown out the other factory speakers or rattle my trunk apart.

How does that JL sound when compared to factory sub? Can he handle more bass , does factory amp drive it well?

I can't imagine your JL sub sounds anywhere near as good as it could/should by being powered by the factory amp. I like the idea of putting a sub in the factory location though. Anyone know what the factory enclosure volume is? The 8W3v3 ideally needs 0.3 cubic feet of volume. And it has a depth of about 5". This sub fits in the factory location without any modification?

For anyone following, the stock sub is free air. I went with an 8w3v3 in a ported enclosure driven by a JL Audio jx500 monoblock amp. Haven't hooked it up yet, but will post back when I do.
