iPod Touch 3.0 not compatible with our 2009 TL Tech?

I upgraded my 32GB iPod Touch to software version 3.0 last weekend. When I plugged it in this morning for the commute to work, it no longer worked with my 2009 Tech. When plugged in, the iPod doesn't display it's connected and the Acura unit says unrecognizable file.

Anybody else have this problem?

Hello -

It is not just the iPod touch but my iPhone 3g is working funky also now since the 3.0 update.

The phone aspect via Bluetooth works fine. The car see's the iPhone (ipod) function of the device and looks like the song is playing but I don't hear anything. If I un-plug the iphone and re-plug it back in, it works... There is some bug that needs to be addressed. It sounds more like a software issue than hardware though, so thats good!

What your describing also happened with my iPod Touch before upgrading to 3.0. I was hoping the 3.0 softare would fix that. Well, it made it worse! Hopefully Acura & Apple can get it fixed.

My iPhone 3GS did the same thing. First time with USB the Nav display stated unrecognized. I didn't do anything, then after about 30 sec the connection synced. No issues since. It might take a bit longer with a 3G or iTouch.

I haven't upgraded my iTouch to 3.0 yet so nothing to report there. Maybe it's just me, but Apple should make 3.0 free across the board. I don't get the marketing logic - free upgrade with any iPhone, but NOOOOO, not with an iPod Touch! Huh??

Thanks for the feedback! I will try it again.

Yeah, $10 is a bit absurd, but I thought it would make it more stable. :-/

This is a non-issue. I plugged it in this morning and it works fine. I guess I jumped the gun on this one.

Thanks Blue!

plugged my 3G in today for the first time since the final version of 3.0 was released, my only issue is that the phone defaulted to the "HandsFreeLink" audio output insted of the "Dock Connector" output, but other than that, worked perfectly fine
