iPhone 3G iPod operation
My iPhone is connected to my TL audio system using a USB cable. When I select 'iPod' on my audio system, I'm able to migrate to my selection using the folders displayed. However, when I select 'play' the selection does not play until i press the 'HDD' button that selects 'Bluetooth audio'.
Is there any way to play my music selections through the USB cable - not wireless Bluetooth? Or, is this the way the system was designed?
Thank for your feedback.

Thanks njsimons. Seems like a lot of distraction while driving! Do I have to go through this every time I change a music selection...or, is it a 1 time deal? Also, do you know if this is particular to the 3G....would the 4G work differently...perhaps as 'expected'?
With regard to your purchasing an iPod....since the TL has a single USB port, you'd loose the integrated phone connection. Out of curiosity, do you know if the single USB port can be expanded using a USB hub?

I just threw the mp3s on a usb stick and leave it plugged in. All the audio-out on the iphone works fine over bluetooth, and every 2nd or 3rd time it connects, the skip buttons even work with pandora. The skips work fine with the ipod function over bluetooth - who cares if it's on the nav screen..
