iPAD hookup

I don't have an iPad, but I do have a 3GS iPhone. Got bad news for you, folks. The latest version of iTunes causes a video to go black when it runs through Bluetooth with the TL. The sound is still there, but no video.

yes, I figured we would use the iPad screen for videos since it's bigger (and higher res), and only play the audio through the TL to improve the experience... but video on the iPad would be a must.

Okay I just tried it and it didn't work.
I connected the iPad via the cable it came with to the car's USB port.
Message on the iPad pops up saying "This accessory is not supported by the iPad."
Click Dismiss.
Then went to the USB audio on the car which says unplayable file.
Disconnected and reconnected the iPad multiple time with the same result.
Haven't tried to Bluetooth as I haven't had the time yet to do the pairing.

With USB, if it's like the iPhone, give it a minute or so to 'handshake' and it should show your iPod connection on the Nav display, if you have Nav, and if you select the Audio screen. You can then navigate your iPod menu through the KLUDGY Acura interface.
Pairing via Bluetooth is a breeze - at least it was for me with 2 iPhones and an iPod Touch on my TL and 08 RDX, both Tech. Until the latest iTunes update, when I played a video via Bluetooth, the sound came through the speakers and video displayed on the iPhone/Touch. There was no delay. Very entertaining to pass it around the cabin. Now, just a black screen. Probably a lawyer thing. Boo-hiss.

I tried the USB hook up again with no success. This time I used the USB cable that came with the iPhone. Similar unsuccessful results as above.
I was able the Bluetooth pair the iPad with the car. Using Bluetooth audio I was able to get the iPad's audio to play through the car's speakers. There is a fraction of a second lag between the video and the audio. It isn't noticeable when playing just music, but when playing video, the audio is a bit behind the video.

I have not been able to have my bt phone and iPad running on my 2010 tl at the same time. iPad alone was working but as soon as I paired my phone, I was unable to use the iPad so I connect the iPad using aux.

iPad would be great to check on weather and real-time traffic information on a bigger screen, for people that don't want to pay xm for those services.
If you have an HTC EVO you could share the WiFi signal with the iPad and you are always connected real-time.
