Initial Nav Time "Error"

Noticed that frequently when I initiate a navigation system route the time to reach the location is excessively long. As I travel the route the system adjusts (sometimes up to 5-10 minutes over a 1 minute time frame).

Is this a querk of the system, can it be adjusted or is a "repair" in order?

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks.

I have the SAME problem! I live in Foster City, CA and when I enter addresses in downtown San Francisco, it jumps from 17 miles in distance to 25 miles as soon as I pull out of my driveway. And, of course, it adds additional drive time. I used the nav system to find a place in Santa Cruz two weeks ago and the drive time went from 35 minutes to over an hour inside of 60 seconds. Sounds like a bug to me.

BUT to be fair, we have a 2007 Honda Ridgeline that does the same thing sometimes.
