Infinity Center, Navi voice question.

Good afternoon, got a simple question I am going to be changing the center channel to something a bit better http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1083032...96#details-tab

I take its a easy plug and play correct? but my main concern is will I lose the navi voice? I will not be adding a amp just a simple swap. Also will be doing the same for the front doors but will go with Kappas down the road.

Thanks

...so if you are doing a simple swap, and basically just wire the new speakers to the same outputs as the old ones, why would you loose anything?

My main concern would be that whatever speakers you decide to swap, you match up the load..for example, if you are swamping say an 8-Ohm, and you put in place a 4 -Ohm, you run the risk of blowing out the amp in the car, since you have now half the load, and will pump out more power....see where I am going with this?

If the load is the same, I do not think you will have issues, or loose anything.....but I have not done the research, and others here might chime in with more details....

I realize its simple swap, the reason I asked is I have installed numerous systems and I did lose navi voice with a swap with oem amps before. Factory speaker is 2ohm the Infinitys are either 2 or 3 ohm so that won't be a issue.

You will not lose Navi-Voice with the speaker swap.
