HFL booting up problem

I've been experiencing the "booting up" problem with my 06 TL's HFL. I'm not certain whether it's related or not but I've recently had to replace my battery because it runs down if I leave it for more than a day or two. (I've heard that the module will continue trying to boot even while car is off.)

My question is: If I just disconnect the module (instead of paying 500+ replace it) will it cause any problems with radio/nav codes etc. I don't really care about the bluetooth phone that much and have not once used any voice commands to do any other things like change radio station etc.

Any help or advice would be most appreciated. Thanks in adavance

Sorry, just realized I posted in wrong section. Don't know how to move it since for some reason they don't allow new members to edit their posts.

Interesting...I just came back from an unexpected week long trip and my battery was dead. I got the car jumped and everything re-set except HFL. I'm getting the same error message. My searches on the forum, so far, have not turned up encouraging results.
