Hard drive transfer to new TL?
So I have a 2010 TL and I am going to be trading it in soon to either a 2013 TL or the new RLX (depending how that one turns out)....
I have thousands of songs loaded onto the hard drive, does the dealership have a way to transfer the contents of my old TL's hard drive to the new car?

I'd be very surprised if that could be done to be honest....That is one of the reason I never bothered loading songs on the hard drive. I am also afraid that if the battery died or got disconnected that I would lose everything. My best advice for you would be to either get a USB stick and use that as a playing device.....that is what I do.
Now, as far as the 2013 TL, if you have a 2010 now, my advice to wait for the 2014 TLX or the RLX...switching from a 2010 to a 2013 is not wise given the 2013 is virtually the same as yours and would be the last year in the MY. That is my 2 cents....unless you are going for the massive discount aspect but that would be later next summer when the TLX would be about to come out. I am going to trade my 2012 TL for the TLX or the RLX depeding on which one I like best but my trade will likely be in the spring of 2014 unless the RLX is soooooo hot and decide to get it next summer.

Thanks for that...wish I had done that before loading all my CDs! I hope the RLX is awesome and then I will go with that as you mentioned. My 2010 is a lease that is up in June, so I will want to get something else. I would rather go with the new RLX for the reasons you mentioned. I am bummed that the AWD version won't be available in June.
This is my second TL and I love it. I am a bit worried that the new TLX is going to be smaller to help differentiate the RLX, but I have not heard or seen anything about the 2014 TLX.

JKftw....Any chance you could extend your lease a little bit longer to wait the arrival of the AWD? It would be a shame to get a 2013 TL just because you would need to wait for an AWD vehicle. I suspect the TLX won't be out until the September of 2013 (pure speculation) and if that is teh case, again a few months of extension will be required to tie you over I wouldn't get too concerned about the length of the new TLX, as you know, it will be based on the Accord plateform and although the 2013 Accord has shortened on the outside, the interior is actually a tad roomier and suspect the TLX will have the same proportions....and be a lot cheaper than the RLX. Try talking to your dealer and see what options you have well before your lease is up so you can start planning your options...Just out of curiosity, do you have another vehicle as a temporary measure if they don't want to extend your lease?

I agree. The sales guy mentioned that they can extend the lease. I was going to drive the RLX when they get one in and decide if I need to wait for the AWD. I am probably one of the few people that really love the current TL styling, especially with the way it was refined recently, so a 13 TL wouldn't be too bad in my book, but I do like having the latest and greatest.
Time will tell...thanks!

Exactly....Once you see the RLX on Nov 29th, it will give you an idea of the production version (wheels etc) on whther or not it will be your cup of tea. We will likely see the TLX prototype in the spring/early summer so with that information, you will have good information to make an informed decision....2014 TLX, RLX or a heavily discounted 2013 TL AWD because next summer/early fall, the TL will be heavily discounted to make room for the 5G TL (or will that be the 1G TLX?)...Again, being to extend your current lease into the month of Sept will sure put you in the driver seat to make the RIGHT and INFORMED decision
Best of luck....
Best of luck....
Acura will let you extend your lease up to a year for a month at a time. That's the route I'd go so you can see what the 5g brings to the table. You could also spring for a leftover 2013 if you'd like. I just got the new issue of "Acura Style" magazine and they have a sweet write-up on the RLX. Looks like a great alternative if the price is right.

As this one is regular HDD (by Segate as indicated in other threads), even with dead battery, u wont lose anything for sure (just like PC unless the HDD crashes itself, lol), but I would be surprised, frankly, if Acura allows to transfer those songs to another vehicle as said in this Thread.
