I downloaded what is labeled as a Gracenote update to the HD yesterday, and when I tried to install, the system gave a message that this update was already installed. I last updated in October I think.

Anyone else have the same issue? I can just stream from the phone, but I think the audio quality is better with a ripped CD.

Pretty disappointed in the Gracenote support.

It states on the navteq site that the next GN update is scheduled for April, at least for 2009-2013 TL's. Perhaps you have a different vehicle.

 

I d/l the proper file, December update, for a 4th gen TL.

My concern is not an April update, but the fact I applied the Oct update in Oct, and when applying the site's listed Dec update the unit indicates it is a duplicate. I was wondering if others had the same issue.

 

The last update for a 4G was the October 2012 update. It's supposed to be updated quarterly, I believe, however that has, of late, been the exception, not the norm. The next update was to have been February 2013, but at the tail end of February, the site was updated to suggest the update was coming in March. A few days later, it was pushed to April.

There was no December update. It does list a Database Date of Q4 2012, however that's October. Not sure what you put in your system.
