Faulty Refueling Detection
Faulty Refueling Detection
I wrote several months ago that the "A" trip odometer, when set to reset on refuel, was resetting randomly. As with so many other aspects of this car (noisy sunroof, uncomfortable headrests, weird trunk floor, small passthru and no folding seats, an iPod interface that does not allow quickly reaching the end of the alphabet to Warren Zevon's Warewolves of London, nor lets you use the voice control system for that...), it just seemed like their "learning" car. Well, I think I've finally figured out the pattern.
My drive today was down a steep hill, followed by backing slightly up another one and parking sideways (left side up). Turned it back on and went (after maybe 15 feet of down) uphill for several minutes. And these are steep hills.
It seems that this combination sometimes resets the "refueling" odometer. But only at certain fuel levels. In this case, roughly 60% full.
Silly Acura.
