Does the Acura TL 2012 play DVD-A. ?
If it does, how does one create a DVD-A. Is there a particular software that i need to have to write a DVD-A for Acuras?

What format does it support for audio?

I will give a quick rundown

Software
Cirlinca HD audio solo ($$) - burns wavs/flacs to DVD-A
dvdaexplorer (free) - used to extract multichannel .wav files from the audio_ts portion of a dvd-a - take an iso image and extract it to a folder then point to the audio_ts folder and choose any .pp file
Foobar (free) - uses a variety of plug ins to play and convert DVD-A, DTS, SACDs to multichannel .wav files

DVD audio extractor (30 day free trial) - rips multichannel wavs from video_ts section of dvd-v or dvd-a

zynewave podium (free) - multichannel wav editing tool ( I use to split tracks or trim)

will i be able to convert MP3 to the DVD-A format and then burn on a blank DVD?

 

Yes according to their websites but I have never tried.

Just because you upsample does not mean it will sound better than it did as an mp3 (you will be able to do 5.1 and that will help maximize the sound system of the TL). Leave the world of lossy compression behind.SACD PS3 iso is your friend and 24/96 is where it's at so walk towards the light.
