Dialing a call from iPhone
Dialing a call from iPhone
When I place a call from my iPhone I have to wait for the call to connect before I can transfer the call to hands free. Is there a setting I can change so that hands greenies automatic without selecting transfer?

No there's not. With an iPhone, you must connect your call first. Then you can transfer it to the car.
But....once you've connected with your call, just press your HFL button and say "Transfer" and your call goes to the car.

Weird functionality
Thanks for the great forum! I am a new Acura owner and love my car (2010 Acura TL Tech). Bought it pre-owned from the dealer and have really enjoyed driving it for the last 6 months.
That said, the only thing I find annoying is this weird functionality that requires you to transfer the call after placing it from the iPhone. It also causes the Siri to not function at all. I guess the most frustrating part of it all is that all of this has been fixed in the 2012 TL!!! I have had a loaner a couple times and have been able to use Siri thru the car system without issue. I have also been able to dial numbers directly from the phone (or even answer calls on the phone) and the car system maintains the bluetooth connection (no "transfer" required).
In today's day of firmware updates, I guess I am surprised that Acura does not offer a simple firmware update for this functionality to previous model owners. When I asked the dealer's service center about this their response was, "That's how they get you to buy a new car!"
Does anyone know of a 3rd party add-on that would fix this? Anyone ever heard of a fix of any kind?
