Cancelled XM

I traded my 04 TL for the 09 in March. Today when I tried to switch xm from the old TL to the new one they wanted me to sign up for a new year starting today. Apparently they can not just switch cars, they want you to commit to a new year. Which basically meant that I need to pay an additional $98. Got so fed up with them I just cancelled it. Plus I cancelled the radio I have in the office as well. Bad cutomer service once again. Does anyone anywhere ever have good customer service?

Naw, it's pretty much on the way out the door today. By the way, they can switch cars to problem, I did it with my 05TL to the new 4G? I'd call back and get it straight. It's just a matter of switching the radio ID on channel 0 in both cars. They are extremely incompetent on this matter, which forces most of us to do the same thing you did, but I stuck it out as I hate regular radio. The only thing I had to fight for was adding on the 3 month trial as my subscription still had 3 months left, they prorated it, and all was good.

There are also ways to get that $98 bucks down. Search the forum for the thread on XM renewals.

XM radio = a waste of your hard-earned $$! We spend MORE time at work (8hrs), and in bed (8hrs) than listening to their expensive money-gouging XM radio programs. Canceling XM was the best thing I ever did.. besides, I heard they've gone bankrupt & in the process of begging for a stimulus package from Obama

I listen to it at work also. My wife called back and apparently the El Paso office doesn't do a good job. In any case I cancelled it yesterday and they gave me a $138 refund. So that tells me that I pay about $183 per year for 2 radios. So my wife is on the phone with them today and they say that they can get both radios (car and office) set up for a payment of $239.00. $56 MORE! Screw that.

I did a switch from my old TSX to my new TL in March. Also, added XM to my wife's Honda Odyssey at the same time. Everything went well with absolutley no problems. I guess it depends upon which customer service rep you get.

I've also had XM at work for almost five years.

I CALLED AFTER I BOUGHT BY 09 TL TO TRANSFER SERVICE AND THEY TOOK CARE OF IT WITH NO PROBLEM. THEY GAVE ME THE THREE PROMO AND WHAT I HAD LEFT ON MY LAST ACURA. THAT BROUGHT ME TO EARLY JUNE WHEN I NOTICED A NEW CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD. I CALLED XM TO CANCEL MY FULL SERVICE AND THEY OFFERRED 5 MONTHS AT $20.00 FOR THE RADIO ONLY. I CANCELLED TO NAV TRAFFIC BECAUSE I DO NOT USE IT ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY THE EXPENSE. CRAZY R

XM and Sirius are going to fail because they do not understand the customer. They continue to "screw" the long time subscribers and remove benefits that should have been grandfathered.
