Can we bypass the stock amp all together
Hey guys
I am starting to purchase all my stuff for a full system swap.
hybrid audio speakers and a Morel ultima 12 in the trunk powered by JL HD amps and going active on this one as well.
questions hopefully drew can answer this.... is our sound processor in the amp or the HU. I would like to change out the whole processor instead of using an MS8, but i may just be lazy enough to just do that as i am a "set it and forget it" type of guy....

I intercepted the signal after the amp and flattened it out before using an aftermarket processor. I'm not sure nor have I heard of anyone bypassing the signal before the amp. My reasoning for bypassing after the amp was to not void my warranty. If you have issues with the electronics and your tap into the system before the output, Acura can void the your warranty stating that your bypass is/or causing the issue.

I wonder if we bypassed the amp and ran a processor ie ms8, audison etc... so the BT would still work as it should be just a audio out signal right... and not have to run a stealth speaker or leave the center channel out.

It may be possible. Let me run it pass my audio guys and see what they think. They have done 3 TL Tech installs (including mine), but not before the amp.

I just remembered why I needed the stealth speaker. It is because the center channel is always playing even when you set -6 on the OEM radio and Navi-voice/feedback comes from only the center output. The bluetooth works fine having the center channel connected to the aftermarket processor.
Any processor you choose is going to sum your inputs to achieve a full signal, then separate the signal to each assigned The center signal will no longer be separate, thus causing the issue with Navi-voice/feedback. My stealth center also has an on/off switch so that I can turn it on only when I need Navi-Voice and not experience a signal delay issue.

^ yeah, no Navi-Voice, but do get the momentary drop-out if I'm playing around with some of the menu's as it seems to be somewhat tied into the front channels internal within the HU (center is an output from the MS-8, not an input). Minor inconvenience, but nothing I can't live without.

The dropout is the overall volume lowering when navigating through the menus. The Navi-Voice comes only from the center channel. You disconnected it from the OEM amp right? The only way to keep Navi-voice is to have a speaker connected to the OEM amp center output.
