Yeah, the touchscreen was much easier to use in the previous gen. Also, in my 06 TL if I wanted to make a call, I pressed the phone button and say "Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" With the new car I have to press the phone button then press the talk button and say "dial", then press the talk button again and say the number. That's three steps vs one? wtf?

And.... I like to shoot the person who came up with how you rotate through screens on the MID. It was just as bad on the last model too.

You don't have to do that. Just say "Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" and it will do it. You don't need to interrupt with an additional press of the Talk button. I found this out "by mistake" one day.

Yeah the MID interface should have been programmed into the Navi system, it's really stupid. I know they did it for cost reasons to keep it the same for the Tech and non-tech models.

Just picked up mu 2010 TL. I'm having a similar issue. When click phone button and say "Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" it just shows the Cellular Phone screen. I can't even get "Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" to work.
