Bluetooth HFL No Connect (With Tech Package)
Hey,
I picked up my 2009 TL a few weeks ago to replace my 05 TL. Love it except the bluetooth is killing me.
I have a Blackberry 8320 Curve (a supported phone) and have no issue at all to pair the phone. However, connection problem starts to occur usually after 4 to 5 days. Quite often the HFL phone screen shows "no phone" connect even though my phone said it is connected. It is also displayed as connected with the bluetooth icon within the small radio station screen, so the car does recognize the connection.
To fix the above issue, I will have to remove the pairing and pair it again. Then the bluetooth connection will be good for a few days. The dealership replaces the HFL unit but the problem is not going away.
Anyone has the issues?
Thanks,
NC

I actually had this once - same thing, my BB Bold 9000, the phone would be connected, the radio line would show connected, and I actually was able to get incoming calls fine to.
When I would try to dial, it would act like no phone was connected, and it actually wouldn't even let me pair properly.
After playing around somehow I disconnected all connections (bluetooth wise I mean) and tried and it paired.
Now its been good since then. I tried calling Acura but the guy said he never heard this before and to take it in, it resolved on its own.

this Saturday will be 4 weeks for me - funny thing it just happened again today.
I recieve calls fine, I can see it connected on the small display and my phone.
But when I go to phone settings it says NO PHONE CONNECTED even though there is.
I can't dial, I cant search for other phones, I cant even do anything in phone setup, yet I can recieve calls fine.
Any one else with this issue or advise on how to get this resolved? I guess I have to leave it this way till I can take the car in else Acura won't believe me.

I've had issues with my iPhone Bluetooth as well. It's not a perfect technology by any means, just understand that. It's two companies trying to reach a universal tech connection, the drivers from Honda and Motorola are fighting each other! The same as Honda and Apple for me. Good luck with it.

I use a Windows Mobile phone and have had intermittent conneciton issues. I find, at least with my phone, that I only have issues when the battery is low on the phone. Also, especially with Blackberries, it's a good idea to reset the phones by shutting them off and pulling the battery at least every week or two, to flush the RAM and shut down any apps that may be running in the background, that could potentially sap resources from the phone.

I have been having this problem...the intermittent connection issues. I thought it was my old phone a Sony W810i ( Yes I know Ancient). I recently got a new Sony phone and am having the same issue. I ran the diagnostic (Cancel/Map/Menu Hold 5 Sec) under HFL and I got an error DESIP NG
With the NG in Red. I am assuming "No Go"
Has anyone with this issue tried the diagnostic mode? Do I need a new HFL Module? Thoughts?
