Angry Audio Cracking/Popping?

Hi guys,

I have a 2012 TL with Tech FWD version and I had the car recently serviced at the dealer for a windshield pump that was broken (pissed me off after only 3k miles) and now the audio is crackling/popping with my Iphone4 hooked up to the USB port.

I checked the XM radio and there is NO such sounds coming from the speakers like there is when my phone is connected using the usb port.

This is really starting to piss me off given the money I've spent on this thing and I really didn't expect a service date on this car either since I just bought it 3 months ago. I tried adjusting the sound options such as reducing bass or treble because I thought the music could be clipping but that didn't help.

Any help on this ANNOYING issue would really be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

no one has ever reported this issue. Could it be your phone? Can you try another phone to see if you have this issue?

Thanks. I didn't think it was my phone but it's all of a sudden becoming an issue that is really pissing me off ya know? Cuz I love my music!!! I don't know what you refer to using USB music? Does that mean like using a USB drive by copying over music and plugging that in?

Thanks for understanding my illiterate nonsense with this car lol.

Is the "popping" coming from the front windshield area? If so, I sometimes hear popping too. I thought it was the center channel speaker at first, but it comes and goes and it seems it occurs when traveling on the freeway above 60mph? Regardless of source too.
