Anybody knows any tricks to start music through bluetooth stereo from iPhone?

This is my second Acura and the problem is still there.. WTF, Acura?

The phone (iphone 4s) is connected by Bluetooth, but the music doesn't start, unless I will start it manually on iPhone, but if I do, the skipping control doesn't work on the steering wheel. If I press Pause/Resume - Nothing happens.

I Have 2 pairs of Bluetooth headphones, and none of them give me that problem over the years, but Acura always had and still have this problem.

Before I had a trick if I'll turn Bluetooth on the iPhone Off, then On again, the music will start playing. But since 5.0.1 this trick no longer works.

This is so frustrating..

P.S. Acura did such a bad job with Bluetooth. Siri doesn't work ether.

You may have to re-pair/sync your iphone with the car's Bluetooth system. Sometimes it is possible that the pairing did not go as it should have.

I do not own an iPhone so I cant say for sure, but I remember when I paired my Droid 3 the first time, it wont connect right. Deleted it and re-paired it with the car's system and now it works like a charm now. Hope this helps.

I have a 2010 and bluetooth works just fine with the steering wheel controls. I would recommend switching from bluetooth to another audio source and back to bluetooth if its not immediately connecting once you turn on your car.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM and IT IS NOW FIXED!!

First, thanks to everyone for trying to help.

I found a problem when I went to "phone setup" to delete the phone and pair it again. The problem is that 2 month ago I upgraded from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4s, and instead of Replacing the phone, Acura added the second phone. So all this time when I started the car I guess it was looking for the first phone first first.

So to anybody with the same problem. DELETE ALL PAIRED PHONES and PAIR IT AGAIN! Now everything works like a charm.

Even after all that, my 09 with my 4S, the pandora steering wheel skip buttons are hit or miss as they've always been.

This issue has plagued me for almost two years, and amazingly started right after I got the iPhone 4. I went into the system and sure enough my old iPhone was listed. After deleting all the phones and doing a resync, the music and controls start on their own everytime. Thanks for figuring this one out!!!
