2010 TL. no sound from sub output after LOC install
i have a 2010 TL and i install a sub and amp and used a hi to low convertor and connected it to the sub-woofer wires on the rear deck. i disconnected the the wires to the sub before i turned on the radio and i am not getting any sound at all from the LOC.
the convertor is wired left and right positive connected together to the grey wire and left and right negative together to the blue wire on the sub. i removed the convertor and connected the factory wire back to the sub and no sound at all . what did i do wrong?

this may be a stupid question.. when you connected the wires from the factory sub to the loc, did you connect it to the sub side or the factory amp side of the wiring? or did you not cut it at all and just splice it in?

Hello all,
New member of this fine forum, just got my 2011 certified S and love it. I have also added a sub and not having same issue but it does seem to roll off after a volume of 15 or so? I know in the older models everyone says to disconnect the rear mic, is that the same for our 2011's? Also I assume I should disconnect the factory sub as well...would be nice to add a coil and use it as a midbass driver. Has anyone here tried that? Sorry if I am posting in the wrong thread, mods can certainly move it to the correct one. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. I do have a car audio shop at my disposal. Anything you guys can recommend I can have them do...or do it myself.
Cheers
