'09 TL Tech package, how to update Navi

I bought a CPO '09 Acura TL, I was wondering if you can update the Navigation in it? It seems pretty up to date but would be nice to know if you can update it eventually?

Is it even possible?

Either go on www.myacura.com or check here: http://www.navigation.com

You can buy an Update-DVD, but they need your VIN for it.

Even if you could, I am pretty sure that the link would not be allowed to be posted here seeing as that is illegal.

No you can't, since it's tied to your VIN.
It only works with your car, no one else's.

I'm sure there is a way to get one without paying the $185. I mean I paid alot for this car, I don't think they should be upset if I get my Navi updated. I think everyone here would agree with that.

Actually, they would be upset because although Acura sold you your car a different company makes the navigation CDs.

Navigation

They just sent me a letter that they dropped the price. The Navigation disc is universal. The code is tied to the vin to help stop copy's of the disc. You can use a bootleg but you have to get the code from Acura. Sometimes they just give it out.
