'09 TL Tech factory 6.5 drivers

Well I've blown both of my front door speakers. It's under warranty and they are replacing them, but it got me thinking. What about just replacing that speaker with a better driver? I understand it's 2ohm 6.5". What about something like this:

Thoughts? I don't want to go full system, but maybe this is an option after my warranty is up.

i just dont understand how many members blow their speakers.

i think i play my music pretty loud, to the point where the side mirrors and rear view mirror is ratting so bad i cant see out of it, and still i dont have any issues with my speakers.

but if you feel like you want to pay for another set instead of getting it for free under warranty, then do so.

The speakers were blown when I bought the car(used), so I have no idea what it took to kill them. But, I've read of several cases on this forum of people dealing with blown speakers

From my original post >>>>but maybe this is an option after my warranty is up.<<<

I'm going to wear out my welcome at Acura while the warranty is still active. I can tell you that if I blow my speakers up after the warranty has expired I won't be buying a set of stock speakers to replace them, which is why I asked about the above drivers.

Is this the speaker you were talking about?

Are you using it without an aftermarket amp? If so how's the quality?
