'06 TL Help on Front Speaker replacement

I am new to the forum, love my TL but not the speakers as much. I replaced the front stocks last year with JBL P660(mainly because it had good reviews for 2ohm spec) but now I want to replace them since the driver side is acting up.

Question, has anyone used a 4ohm speaker on the front doors with the stock amp? If so how do they sound (I know you will have half the power, but is it obvious)? Unfortunately I dont have the budget to replace the stock amp and the front speakers. Thanks for all your expert advice.

I replaced the stock ELS door speakers on my 09 TL with a 4 ohm low end JL components [with factory amp untouched] and they actually sound better since the ELS stocks were garbage. There's mid range now that I can actually hear. As far as the volume thing, in theory, it is suppose to be half the volume since it's 2 ohms vs 4, but I barely noticed it. The only thing you will notice is just how bad the other stock speakers are that you didn't replace yet compared to the new ones.
