03/11/2011 - Acura Media Newsroom - TL - 2012 Acura TL - Interior
This has disappeared from the Web, but I retrieved it from the Way Back Machine and wanted to repost it here for posterity, primarily because of the disappearance of the "refinements" to Bluetooth Audio. (The full press release is attached.)
Inside, the 2012 TL benefits from an even further refined cabin that includes updates such as available ventilated front seats, instrument cluster changes and new surface finishes for most interior appointments, a larger HDD system (now 60 gigabytes) that works with a brighter and more colorful monitor, and even faster USB port connectivity. Technology improvements abound with the 2012 TL in the form of the availability of Song By Voice™, refinement of Bluetooth® Audio (now with artists name, song title, etc.), new "active pairing" functionality for Bluetooth® enabled phones, dial-by-number and dial-by-voice tags, and even further expanded map information for the navigation system. Plus, the TL's interior is even quieter thanks to several new noise abatement technologies applied for 2012.

With the previous 40 GB hard disk drive (HDD) upgraded to 60 GB, media storage capacity has been increased to 15 GB, allowing more space for personal music storage. Other new audio features for 2012 include Song by Voice music activation, an even faster USB connection to play songs, the ability to now display iPod album art on the TL's full VGA display screen, and the ability to show information (song title, artist name, etc.) when streaming music via Bluetooth® Audio.

You think that the Bluetooth refinements "disappeared" from the car?
Some phones were never compatible, some phones used to be compatible, some phones are still compatible. Your head unit never changes.
