Zaino??

I am looking to apply Zaino on my CBP.

There are so many different ones like z-2, z-7, ect.

Do I have to buy all of them and apply all?

Please give me some tips guys

Thanks

the best thing to do is buy the following:

Z-7 Car Wash Soap
Z-2 Car Wax
Z-5 Car Wax
Z-6 Detail Spray
ZFX curing accelerant.

Go to autozone and buy a claybar kit from mothers!

Mix the z-7 with some water and use that as lubricant for the clay. Wash the car again to make sure there's no dirt/grit on it.
Apply Z-2 or Z-5 in a VERY thin coat. Let dry and then buff off.
Spray z-6 on a towel and wipe down the car (it's applying a spray wax). Then apply a coat of Z-5 or Z-2 (the other one that was not used in the first application). Let dry and buff off.
Spray z-6 again
Then go back to the wax used in the first application step and repeat the process with applying the wax. I usually put on 3 layers of each Z-2 and Z-5 to ensure its nicely covered. The z-6 provides extra gloss and protection for the paint and makes it easier to layer the wax.

Check out the wash and wax section for complete write up's and more info!

i would ask this over at the wash and wax section...i dont use zaino products myself as they are overpriced in my opinion...there are alot of products out there that are just as good or better for alot less money....

do you plan on machine polishing prior to putting a final sealant/wax on it...

if you dont have a machine, now is the time to start looking at one...a porter cable is a good way to get started in weekend detailing, and your black paint will require some special care to keep it swirl free...

Yes....this! I started out with Zaino products and was very happy. I have to say that the Z-6 is very good-better than others (in my opinion). I've tried 2-3 others, and will stick with the Z-6.

not trying to beat anyone down here, but if your not taking your detailing to the next level, that being a machine polish, then your not getting the best results, no matter what product you use....

get a d/a machine, and get busy boys!!

Agreed 110%

I use Zaino waxes as well, but IMO, you must use a machine with polishes to get the marring/scratches out of the finish. I use Optimum Polishes, then top it out with a few coats of Z2/ZFX with Z8 gloss enhancer as a FP finish. Zaino is tough stuff and a good application will last you the year and still remain glossy.

I agree...BUT having gone from hand to DA polisher, I will say for the average person (and not NBP), Z2 with the accelerant. IMO, all the other Zaino products are somewhat extraneous. Nothing seals like it and hides imperfections though. It's very durable and gives a "good enough" appearance for the average car cleaning guy (not OCD detailing person...I WISH I could go back to not knowing what swirls were).

like one of the other guys stated, if your not ocd like me, then you will do fine without a machine...i notice you have a black car...enjoy the swirls, because you cant remove imperfections from modern clearcoat finishes by hand....it requires machine polishing and honda clearcoats marr and swirl if you breathe on them wrong...

Now it's the 7424 XP, bit more power & higher OPM (oscillations per minute), I have the old version 7424, great little buffer for the novice detailer.

XP is the way to go...or look for someone on the BM selling their older regular one for cheap to upgrade theirs.
