Your least favorite quality about your TL?
Hey guys I was just wondering, if you could change something on your almost perfect TL, what would it be?
I'm going to go ahead and respond first considering I developed this thread.
I'd say the least favorite quality about the TL is..... drum roll please......
would have to be..... .the blind spots, I can't get over the blind spots. I've seriously almost sideswiped a few other vehicles out there since I've gotten my TL about 4 months ago.
I know the new ones have that blind spot sensor, maybe I need to upgrade.
Can you guys please share what your least favorite quality is?

Don't really have an issue with the blind spot.
My biggest problem with this car is the small trunk.
Other major issue I have for this car is the lack of finishing touches like medal sports pedals or larger encased calipers on the Type-SH like the previous Type-S had. For a $46k car I expected more especially when the G37 gives you all these features.

while the RL is the top dawg, the TL is surpassing it with more luxurious features.
I dont think thats true for the TSX. it will always be a level underneath the TL.
with that being said, hop into a vsix tsx and give it a test drive.

I have a few
1. Small trunk
2. Cant upload mp3s/FLAC to hard disk / CD conversion is low bit rate. Way to make an excellent feature almost useless!
3. Cant play DVDs / videos from USB. Again, excellent screen gone to waste. Even the G37 with its crappy screen allows videos (when parked, of course).
4. GPS lady keeps talking even when I am on phone. Wonder if it would have been any different if it was a guy
But as they say, you like because of, you love in spite of

What exactly do u mean? I had the 2009 or 2010 TSX for a couple days when the dealer was working on a couple things in my TL and I actually loved it! It seemed so zippy around even though not as much power. I attributed it to lower weight or the TL still going through break-in, but is there anything beyond that?

Off Topic..Had a loaner TSX 4 banger auto for 2 days and it was a dog, slow off the line and waddled around corners...My hand-me-down 2006 TSX 6 speed would have killed it, off the and in the corners..if I was into racing 4 bangers...jmho

1.I would def have to say the lack of push to start if you don't get the tech package. CMON even kia's are coming standard with push to start.
2. I would have to say the lack of HP's as compared to, OKAY OKAY 1 competitor for the price the G37.
3. They are just lacking when comapred to other japanese brands at this point.
My wifes ES350 has heated & cooled seats parking sensors G37 comes with back up camera & push to start standard. My car has better performance & handling than my wifes car though & has way more room than the G37 on a brighter note.
Those are my only gripes. For the price they couldve did more. I would like to think they skimped on these models to put more money towards some serious future products. But hey who knows.

the tsx, while a shorter and narrower car, is only about 35 lbs lighter than the 2012 tl. that, plus the fact the v6 tsx is not available with a six speed, lends me to believe the acceleration gains are negligible. but i have not driven one, so i am unable to comment about the difference in handling or FTD quotient, if any.

If I could change just one thing, it would be the tilt steering wheel. To move the wheel and having to undo a latch handle the size of Rhode Island mounted at the bottom of the column is ridiculous. Perhaps not many people adjust the wheel, but I move it out of the way each time I get in and out of the car. Item two: A lot of people complain about the size of the trunk. While I agree it's not huge, I do think it is serviceable, at least for my needs. What needs to the larger is the glove compartment. The owners manual is about the only thing that will fit in there. Item three: Some of the interior parts seem kinda cheap. While I would expect some penny pinching on a $18,000 car, not so much in a $40,000 one. Other than those few gripes, I'm a pretty happy camper.

i'm not sure what 'excelerate' means, but

13.7-13.9 with a pretty good trap speed.
thats like a 5.6 sec 0-60.
I say its pretty quick and on par with my 3G 6MT TL.

Are you a biggun? I can get outta the car fine and I'm 6'3", 230 pounds..

I absolutely dislike the fact that the Acura doesn't provide an option on the 6MT cars to turn off the car, but keep the accessories on (radio)... at least this is feasible on the automatic trannies.... I have to hit the start button again to go into ACC mode.
Although the TL now has ventilated seats, I still wish for the following:
1) Heated Steering Wheel
2) Power Steering Wheel linked to Seat Memory
3) Seat to slide back when exiting and entering the vehicle
4) More power
5) 60/40 split seats to offset lack of trunk space
6) LED lighting interior and exterior
7) Better initial brake bite (the MDX in this regard is awesome!!)
8) Flat Headrests!!
9) Ability to rip music in mp3 format to the hard drive
10) Integration of Google Maps in the car (the new A6 has this and I think this is the future)

Set driver seat memory positions to two setting, one for entering/exiting and another for the position in which you drive. I'm only 6'2 210 and could easily enter/exit regardless of doing that but I feel like im entering a jet doing it
